Google to appeal on copyright ruling

Google is to appeal against a court decision that found the world's most-used internet search engine breached copyright rules by publishing material from Belgian newspapers without their permission.

A Brussels court confirmed an existing ruling that the company had to remove links to the publications, raising questions about the way in which its Google News service links to media content across the EU.
