It has been months, maybe years, since I have seen anything so cringe-inducing as Songs My Mother Taught Me, Lorna Luft's supposed tribute to her mother, Judy Garland.

Ostensibly, the programme is a daughter's celebration of her mother's career and musical repertory but there's something unfilial in the quantity of clichés that Luft trots out.
