Economists enter war of words on outsourcing

For economists it is an article of faith that it is good for the US economy to move some jobs to countries where costs are lower.

But an increasing number are now making the more provocative and counter-intuitive claim that pushing more jobs overseas will lead to more being created in the US. The arguments come ahead of Friday's job creation figures which, if disappointing, could add fuel to the debate about exporting American jobs.
